Hi Anne,
your best bet would be to come by the store so we can show you. There are a plethora of choices when it comes to perennials, way too many to list in a comment section!

I live in Summerfield and have a 6'7" X 6'7" area in my front yard which I have
used to plant annuals for some years. I would like to put perenials in this year,
hopefully flowering ones, staggered in blooming time so there are blooming
flowers all summer in this box in the center of my front lawn. I need some help
in identifying the best ones to buy need to know spacing and height so the plants
will be staggered in a pleasing array.

So, turns out Publius wasn't a real person!
It was in fact a pen name for all the other writers of the Federalist Papers, and is latin for "public".
How clever is that!!
Here's a nice little link if you would like to learn more about it:

I'm sorry to say that's not one I'm familiar with Cara.
The closest to that description that I can think of would be one called 'Monet'
http://beautifulflowerpictures.com/Poinsettia/monet_twilight_poinsettia.html
These tend to darken as the season progresses, but early in the season certainly exhibit the charecteristics that you're talking about.
They are still available in some places, though we have begun to favor the variety 'Freedom Peppermint' over them, because of it's more consistent color, and more uniform growth.
Let me know if that looks like the one or not.

Talking to my grower, it sounds like maybe you got your answer already Estela, but the West coast grower is going to be Briggs Nursery in Oregon. That would be the best place to start your search, they could no doubt point you to a nursery or garden center near you.
