Azaleas, Rhododendrons, Pieris, signs of Spring!

Our first Shrub shipment for the year! Today our Azaleas, Rhodos, and Pieris arrived at the store.

Gumpo Azaleas

Gumpo Azaleas

Now granted, all they really look like right now are more green shrubs, but look at those buds, a sure sign that Spring isn’t far away even though the temperature while we were unloading them was hovering around 40F with a wind chill factor of -a gazillion.

It’s just so nice to see fresh plants coming into the store, and now we’ll be starting to see shipments coming in on a regular basis, which is even more exciting!

Of course among all the excitement, sometimes there are injuries, occasionally even deaths………….

Sometimes they just don't make it

Sometimes they just don't make it

Rest assured, it’ll be given a good funeral.

    Well thanks so much Irishunter!
    It’s nice to hear when we’re doing something right, just so long as we don’t get big heads :)

    Hello GGC;

    If you get a minute, can you share your wholesaler for rhododendrons and also hydrangeas? I’m looking for a company with a good track record and knowledge of zone 3 & 4 hardiness.
    Thanks!
